OVERVIEW
The Maxxis Trepador M8060 is an extreme terrain, all season bias ply tire manufactured for light trucks. The tire is approved by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to be used on highways.
The tire was produced with a heavy-duty bias ply construction. This structure maintains the optimal tire shape at all times, under the driving and load pressure affecting the model. As a result, the model is capable of carrying and withstanding heavy loads with ease. The optimal tire shape does not deform under the stress, which enhances the its off-road performing capability.
The structure is further reinforced with a nylon belt, which helps avoid off-road damage. This construction resists off-road damage, such as punctures and cuts, from harming the tire's casing. The model's wide groove design and staggered tread blocks maintain a clean footprint. They disperse mud and snow and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. This keeps the tire's contact with the road surface at all times, as it is not blocked by mud and snow, and effectively prevents stone retention from damaging the tire's casing. The better damage resistance guarantees a comfortable and quiet driving experience.
The Trepador M8060's aggressive tread and full sidewall pattern increase its off-road performance. The tread elements firmly grip the terrain surface and enable the tire's traction on soft, loose and rocky conditions. The tread pattern and the sidewall lug design ensure the tire's forward motion on soft dirt and deep mud by heightening the model's side-biting capability, while also improving its uneven terrain rock climbing performance. The upgraded off-road traction and grip guarantee a secure driving experience in all conditions.
Extreme Terrain tire types are not designed for regular highway driving. They are primarily designed for off-road applications.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
